Privacy Policy
Entangle is built to be private by design. The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, and there are no accounts, no servers we operate, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
What the app does
Entangle turns your iPhone into a wireless trackpad and keyboard for a Mac that is running the Entangle desktop app on the same local network. All communication happens directly between your phone and your Mac over your Wi-Fi LAN.
Information we collect
None. Entangle does not collect, log, or transmit any personally identifiable information, usage analytics, crash reports, or device identifiers to us or to any third party.
Local network access
The app requests Local Network permission on iOS. This is used solely to:
- Discover the Entangle desktop app on your Wi-Fi network using Bonjour (
_entangle._tcp.). - Open a direct WebSocket connection to your Mac to send pointer, scroll, gesture, keyboard, and Dock messages.
These messages travel only between your iPhone and your Mac. They never leave your local network and are not routed through any third-party service.
Third-party services
Entangle does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
Children's privacy
Entangle is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
